Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Rosé NV Champagne

As we moved into the new millenium, Vueve Clicquot became the champagne of choice for the social elite and club goers alike. Commonly referred to as “Agent Orange” in France, their Brut is a great bubbly. So it is without surprise that the Vueve Clicquot Ponsardin Rosé is tops.

As the “pink” expression of the Brut Yellow label, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Rosé shares the same blend structure as the Brut with 50 to 55% Pinot Noir, 15 to 20% Pinot Meunier, and 28 to 33% Chardonnay. Finally the Cellar Master adds a blend of red wines sourced from selected black grapes to ensure the marvellous balance of this unique Rosé.

The color is a radiant salmon pink and I got a variety of fruit (raspberry, wild strawberry, cherry and blackberry) on the nose. It is a delightful site to see this Rosé be poured.

Upon my first sip I got a fresh first impression that was light bodied but well-balanced and intense in flavor. Pairing this bottle with some lobster would be momentous.

Priced around $60.00 dollars, Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin Rosé NV champagne is an excellent bubbly that requires no specific occasion to enjoy.  I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest this Rosé to anyone seeking a new sparkling wine to add their rotation.

Bottles high.
